Sony to offer new video download service for PSP |

Page 1 of 2 Sources close to Sony said the company will enter the increasingly crowded digital movie download market, competing with companies such as Apple Computer and Microsoft. And as with service, Sony’s offering will be made available for a video game console, in this case the Playstation 3.
Sony will offer a video download service sometime in the first quarter of 2007 for the Sony PSP. The service will offer downloading video content to a PC for one-time transfer to a PSP and is compatible with Sony’s memory stick platform. The report suggests that Sony is negotiating with companies like Amazon, Movielink and CinemaNow to provide content for its service.
